The GI-TEC Mt. Pleasant Campus (MPPS) is accepting Bid Proposals for the upcoming School House #47 build:

Need a Work Permit?
Beginning Oct. 2, 2026,minors seeking employment will complete the permit process through YEPP (Youth Employment Permit Portal) instead of obtaining a permit from their school.
Who Will Use YEPP
- Employers who hire workers under age 18
- Minors seeking employment
- Parents and guardians
- Local school districts andnonpublic schools
A Streamlined Youth Employment Process
- Employers hiring workers under 18 must register with LEO through YEPP.
- Minors will complete the permit process online through YEPP.
- Local school districts and nonpublic schools will no longer issue youth employment permits.
- Employers must notify LEO when a minor’s employment ends.

October Students of the Month
Mt. Pleasant High School senior Camiel Powell is a standout Business Management Student of the Month. Selfless, compassionate, and dedicated to cheerleading, she brings exceptional leadership, energy, and precision to our school company, United 4. Camiel asks intuitive questions, drives results, and executes projects with thorough organization and professionalism. Her strong work ethic, effervescent spirit, and commitment make her an incredible role model for future Business Management students.
Shyanne Abrams, a junior in her first year of Culinary Arts, demonstrates an excellent work ethic, strong dependability, and genuine enthusiasm for learning. Shyanne shows confidence in taking on new tasks. Always willing to jump in and help wherever needed, Shyanne approaches kitchen assignments with confidence, collaborates exceptionally well with others, and actively contributes to a positive, productive environment while taking pride in mastering new culinary skills.
Braylon Mayle, a GI-TEC Construction Trades student, exemplifies leadership, initiative, and outstanding character. A Breckenridge National Honor Society member, he balances strong academics with football, indoor track, and track & field, while actively serving his community through coaching youth football and blood drives. Thoughtful, reliable, and respectful, Braylon carries out every responsibility with care, collaborates seamlessly with peers, and brings positive energy to our school community daily.
Molly McCann, a second-year Graphic Design student, exemplifies creative initiative, drive, and an exceptional work ethic. Actively taking on real-world design jobs to build her professional portfolio while working toward her Adobe Certification, she continuously excels in her daily coursework. Balanced by outdoor interests and strong ties with family and friends, Molly plans to major in Graphic Design at Central Michigan University, making her a fantastic representative of the program.
